My name is Sandra Scheller and am pleased to announce the Grand Opening of our new RUTH Holocaust Exhibit in partnership with the County of San Diego and the Jewish Federation of San Diego at the Rancho San Diego Library on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. Please note, the library is normally closed on Sundays but will be open for our ribbon-cutting ceremony.

This exhibit will feature San Diego Holocaust survivors who are continuing to share their stories along with those who have made significant contributions to our history. We are providing a unique, immersive experience shedding light on ALL victims of the Holocaust to demonstrate how it was not only Jewish victims but other victims that followed in the footsteps of their unfortunate fate as well.

As you may know, RUTH has a history of presenting exhibits and presentations around the county. I would be greatly appreciative if you can distribute our flyer to your respective lists and help us produce a successful grand opening. This Holocaust Exhibit will remain open until May 2024 but your attendance and assistance for our grand opening on May 21 will be significantly helpful. You can see the official board letter to the County Board of Supervisors in support of this museum by clicking here.

As quoted in the San Diego Union-Tribune opinion article, San Diego needs a permanent museum to remember the Holocaust. By us having a successful turnout/promotion, I truly believe we can start making that process happen through our trusted partnership and strong ties throughout the community. Please let me if you can distribute the list and if you can attend. You can RSVP by clicking on this link HERE. Please don’t hesitate in contacting me if you have any questions.

With great respect,

Sandra Scheller
